Decision Strictly Minor League
Please, Mr. Pinkard, Mr. Lopez, Mr. Mulhardt, Mr. Zaragoza, Mr. Holden:
How could you in your final analysis tell 91-year-old Gertrude Marcuss, whose whole life has been her peace and quiet at her mobile home park residence for over 20 years, to just put up with the noise, lights and traffic so Don Di Carlo can line his pockets with minor-league dollars under the candy-coated guise of love your neighbor?
That is what you told her.
You listen but you do not hear.
Your decision this night was sinful.
You had a chance to give a community and a poor old woman some hope and defer your decision. What would it have hurt?
But you did not.
All of you should be ashamed!
