The advantage of learning a new health practice through a CD-ROM is that it offers the kind of interactivity that you can’t get with a book, video or even an actual class. The “Shiatsu” CD-ROM contains a database of 129 pressure points that can be searched by symptom, name or body location. For example, if you want to learn the treatment for a headache, you click on a symptom menu displaying “Headache,” and the program shows all the acupressure points associated with headaches.
The “Wellness” CD-ROM features more than 1,000 images to guide users through about 90 poses and exercises. The instruction is presented from India against a background of traditional Indian music. The program includes routines specific to the home or office, and there are automatically run preset programs for the morning, afternoon and evening.
To order both CD-ROMs, call (800) 679-2324.
