Officers arrested a man who allegedly pointed an assault rifle at his neighbors while accusing them of breaking into his son’s car, police said.
About 11:30 p.m. Saturday, two men told police they were talking in front of their residence in the 10060 block of La Quinta Circle when they heard a rifle being loaded, police said.
They said they saw their neighbor, Mario Palma, 50, walking across the street accusing them and pointing an assault rifle at their heads, police said. They ran inside and called for help when he got within five feet of them, police said.
Palma denied the incident when contacted by officers, police said. Officers said they found three rifles, a handgun and an assault rifle at his home. Palma was charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Huntington Beach City Jail. Bail was set at $10,000.
