Parents Warn Thief at Children’s Graves

A string of thefts from children’s graves in Kansas City, Mo., has led desperate parents to post stern warnings to try to scare off the thief. Flowers, balloons, windmills and birdhouses have been reported stolen at the 200-acre Mount Moriah Cemetery in recent months. A letter posted near the grave of 5-year-old Stephen Geier, who died in 1990, says: “To the spineless thief who is stealing from this grave. You are stealing from a five-year-old boy who fought for his life to survive a brain tumor. . . . WE WILL PROSECUTE YOU!!”
