Trade Center Bomb Suspect Said Framed

The man accused of masterminding the World Trade Center bombing in New York was framed by federal agents eager to make arrests at the expense of the truth, a defense attorney told jurors in closing arguments. Attorney Roy Kulcsar also suggested testimony about a confession by Ramzi Yousef was a lie. Yousef, an electrical engineer of uncertain nationality, is accused of leading a group that conducted the Feb. 26, 1993, attack, killing six people and injuring more than 1,000. Yousef and an alleged accomplice, Eyad Ismoil, face life in prison if convicted of conspiracy.
