Cockburn on Wages

Alexander Cockburn’s column (“The ‘90s Boom Unmasked,” Column Left, Oct. 30) is extremely perceptive. What a sad commentary it is that the Federal Reserve Board worries that too many Americans are employed. None of the fat cats sitting on the board has probably ever been out of work a day. And, I doubt any would turn down a salary increase because it might lead to inflation.
