Orange Coast College is searching for campus artifacts and memorabilia to be displayed in conjunction with its 50th anniversary celebration.
The college was founded in 1947, and the first classes were offered in September 1948. An exhibit honoring the college will run from Nov. 20 through Feb. 20 in the campus art gallery.
“We have lots of material to put on display--old pictures, yearbooks, band uniforms, trophies, class schedules, athletic uniforms and publications--but we could always use more,” exhibit coordinator Vicki Zimmerman said.
Donated items will be placed in the college’s archives after the exhibit closes, and loaned items will be returned.
