San Marcos d. Ventura, 15-11, 15-10, 17-15--Shannon Menzel had 12 kills and Shanna Bauleke added 10 for the Cougars (15-4) in a Division II-AA quarterfinal at Ventura.
Westlake d. Moorpark, 15-2, 15-6, 15-8--Megan Mullen had 12 kills and Heather Hutchison 11 for the top-seeded Warriors (31-3) in a Division II-A quarterfinal at Westlake.
La Canada d. Central Union, 15-6, 15-6, 15-13--Emily Dalbeck had 18 kills and Kelly Gaudino added 15 for the fourth-seeded Spartans (16-1) in a Division III-A quarterfinal match at La Canada.
Flintridge Sacred Heart d. Louisville, 15-3, 15-11, 15-8--Megan Hosp had 16 kills and Danielle Dal Ponte added 14 for the third-seeded Tologs (13-3) in a Division IV-AA quarterfinal match at Chaminade.
Harvard-Westlake d. Santa Ynez, 15-8, 15-7, 15-9--The third-seeded Wolverines (15-3) had little trouble in a Division III-A quarterfinal on the road.
L.A. Baptist d. Providence, 15-0, 15-8, 15-7--Kristen Jensen had 16 kills and Gloria Erickson added 15 for the second-seeded Knights (16-2) in a Division IV-A quarterfinal match at Bell-Jeff High.
TENNIS
Santa Barbara 12, Buena 4--Yas Fisher won two of her three sets and the Bulldogs upset the Channel League champion Dons, seeded second in Division II, in a second-round match.
Campbell Hall 14, Valley Christian 4--Emily Abrams and Stephanie Carapetian swept three doubles sets, losing just three games, for the sixth-seeded Vikings (12-4) in a Division V second-round match at the Studio City Racquet Centre.
