This weekend marks the opening of several major exhibits. Among them: “Flying Colors: The Innovation and Artistry of Alexander Calder” at the San Jose Museum of Art (tel. [408] 271-6840); and “The Dark Mirror: Picasso and Photography,” with more than 200 photos, at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston (tel. [713] 639-7300). Earlier this month, three shows opened in New York City: “Signs and Wonders: The Spectacular Lights of Times Square” at the New York Historical Society (tel. [212] 873-3400); “The Warhol Look: Glamour Style Fashion” at the Whitney Museum of American Art (tel. [212] 570-3600); and, also at the Whitney, “Fashion and Film,” with more than 50 movies and videos from early in this century through modern times.
