Yosemite Plan
I agree with your Nov. 6 editorial that the new plan for Yosemite is a blueprint for the future. Among other things, it would result in:
* The unavailability of gasoline and emergency automotive repair services.
* The conversion of Yosemite Lodge into a noisy and congested conglomeration of high-rise employee dorms, lodges and cabins.
* The creation of unsightly parking developments in the unspoiled western valley, with long waits in stalled traffic for arriving visitors.
* The segregation of visitors by class of use, and forcing some onto shuttle conveyances.
This is not a good way of bringing the parks into the next century.
