Another Term Likely for District Volunteer

Trustees this week are expected to reappoint Cliff Cannon to his unpaid job as one of the La Habra City School District’s personnel commissioners.
Cannon, a retired engineer, has served in the voluntary post for more than two decades, District Supt. Richard Hermann said. The job is up for reappointment every three years.
Cannon’s tasks include meeting once a month with the district’s two other personnel commissioners, Faye Ross and Dawn Stille.
All three are responsible for formulating and reviewing the descriptions and pay increase requests of classified employees, including secretaries, teacher aides and custodians.
“We’re really pleased with [Cannon’s work] and we really appreciate that he’s considering another term,” Hermann said.
The school board will consider Cannon’s reappointment at a meeting Thursday at the district office, 500 N. Walnut St. at 7:30 p.m.
