Council to Consider Curbing Truck Traffic

The City Council will listen to suggestions today on how to curb truck traffic.
City officials are studying what restrictions could be enacted against large trucks and are looking for ideas from residents.
The city began dealing with truck traffic after complaints from residents living near Bake Parkway. Big trucks began using the street more often after the opening of a Bake Parkway exit off Interstate 5 last year.
Although Lake Forest cannot ban trucks from city streets, it can impose weight and time limits.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be at City Hall, 23161 Lake Center Drive.
