A candidate for California’s 24th Congressional District seat will hold his first “town hall forum” Dec. 1 at the library lounge of the Thousand Oaks Inn from 7 to 9 p.m.
Republican William Westmiller of Thousand Oaks will discuss his support for Proposition 209 and his desire to include what he calls “nondiscrimination” principles in federal legislation.
Voters are welcome to discuss any topic during the forum, one of a series he said he plans to hold the first Monday of every month.
The event is sponsored by the Republican Liberty Caucus, which Westmiller said has endorsed him.
The primary election will be held in June.
The seat is now held by Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks).
The 24th District includes Westlake Village, Oak Park and most of Thousand Oaks.
