Officials to Offer Tips on Preparing for Storms

City officials will provide information about storm and flood preparations at a meeting scheduled for Monday.
Officials from several city departments, as well as representatives from the Los Angeles County Beaches and Harbors Department, will discuss ways to minimize property damage during the severe weather conditions expected to be generated by El Nino this winter.
The meeting, hosted by City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, 2551 Motor Ave.
