Perceptronics Inc. posted a loss of $27,000 in its second quarter, compared with a loss of $95,800 a year earlier.
The Woodland Hills maker of computer-based simulation systems and software for military and commercial markets reported revenues of $568,800 for its Sept. 30 quarter, up from $566,000 a year ago.
For the six months, Perceptronics reported a net profit of $40,860 compared with a net loss of $357,000 in 1996, and sales of $1.5 million, up from $1.2 million.
“The 27% improvement in revenues and the change from loss to profit in the current six-month period was primarily a result of deliveries on existing contracts and improved operating efficiencies,” said Gershon Weltman, chairman and CEO.
