Operation Santa Starts Toy Collection Dec. 8

The city’s Operation Santa Claus, a project that provides Christmas gifts to needy La Habra families, will begin collecting toys Dec. 8.
Donations will be accepted at the La Habra Market Place, 1651 Imperial Highway, Suite 4A, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 19, and from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 13-14.
City employees are organizing the project, which also includes a food drive, with collection by the Fire Department and La Habra City School District.
The toys and food will be delivered to the city’s poor just before Christmas.
