Church Is Collecting Nonperishable Foods
Holiday efforts are underway at St. Edward’s Christian Service, a branch of St. Edward’s Catholic Church that helps about 200 families year-round.
The big need for the holidays is canned goods and other nonperishables, including rice and beans. The church lacks storage room for food that can spoil.
The service, which also helps families facing the cutoff of utilities, welcomes cash donations. Volunteers are needed to help shelve and distribute the food during the holidays.
St. Edward’s Christian Service is at 33926 Calle la Primavera. Information: (714) 496-1592.
