Center Wants to Make Seniors’ Spirits Bright

While residents are concerned that all of the city’s children have gifts for the holidays, Mary Campbell is seeking help for nearly 100 senior citizens under her care.
As activities director of the Beverly Manor-Westminster Nursing Center, Campbell is constantly trying to raise funds for hobbies her clients might enjoy. At Christmas, the need to keep spirits up is even more important, she said.
On Monday, Campbell is putting a wish tree for the seniors in the nursing home’s lobby--complete with gift suggestions. Campbell said she also would welcome anyone who could donate their talents to provide a little entertainment.
The center is at 240 Hospital Circle. Information: (714) 892-6686.
