Search, Rescue Team Seeking Applicants

The Sheriff’s Department will hold a meeting Dec. 11 for those interested in joining the east county’s Volunteer Mountain Search and Rescue Team.
The team is dedicated to mountain, swift-water and urban search and rescue efforts.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and must complete a rigorous, nine-month training program accredited by the National Mountain Rescue Assn. The training begins in January.
The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the East Valley Sheriff’s Station, 2101 E. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
Applications are available at the station’s front desk.
