LONG BEACH STATE (1-2) vs. BROWN (2-2), 10 a.m.--Playing in the Florida International tournament in Miami, the 49ers are shooting 30.4%, have been outrebounded, 129-95, have only 21 assists against 54 turnovers and were verbally spanked by Coach Wayne Morgan after a 72-53 debacle Tuesday night against Norfolk State. Only guard-forward Antrone Lee has approached anything resembling consistency, with double-figure performances in all three games and a 15-point average. Brown won its first two games, but lost to cross-town rival Providence, 63-33, Tuesday. In the other first-round game, Lafayette (3-1) plays Florida International (1-1). The winners and losers play Sunday.
