In addition to Don Bachardy’s commissioned work for Robert Altman’s 1993 film “Short Cuts,” it should be noted that actress Julianne Moore portrays an artist whose paintings are actually original work by my wife, Meg Freeman (“Mixed Media,” by Amy Wallace, Nov. 9). Altman’s camera distinctively interacts with Freeman’s paintings to punctuate scenes and illuminate aspects of Moore’s relationship with her husband (played by Matthew Modine).
Freeman has also contributed as a digital artist on such films as “Relic,” “Volcano,” “Face/Off” and “Titanic.”
