Getting a Taste of Other Cultures

An eclectic celebration of cultures will take place throughout the week at the Lakeview Senior Center.
“Many Cultures, One World,” sponsored by the city and the center, will include educational programs and entertainment, and an ethnic lunch from a different region of the world.
The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The daily ticket price, which includes lunch, is $2.75.
Presentations will be given throughout the week by human relations commissioner Rusty Kennedy, representatives from the local chapter of the United Nations, the World Assn. of Girl Guides and the American Red Cross.
The week will culminate with a festival Saturday at the center, 20 Lake Road.
