April 30 remains a day forever shrouded in painful memories for the Vietnamese American community in Orange County.
This year, to mark the 23rd anniversary of the fall of Saigon, eight Vietnamese American youth groups are planning a candlelight vigil. The program also will include a slide show presentation about the 1968 massacre of citizens by Communist troops in central Vietnam.
The vigil, one of several events throughout the week, begins at 7:30 tonight in the Asian Village Shopping Center on Bolsa Avenue, one block east of Magnolia Avenue. Information: (714) 892-8858.
