Nitpicking Can Be Time Well Spent
I can’t believe that someone would actually pay $65 an hour to have someone else pick lice and nits out of their child’s hair (“Getting the Bugs Out, Jan. 7). Doesn’t anyone act like a parent anymore? Buy the shampoo and do it yourself!
Picking nits out of your child’s hair is a great chance to spend quality time with your child. You can cuddle, engage in conversation, have them read to you or share a good movie.
As much as I hated dealing with the little critters and their offspring on several occasions, the time I spent with my children was wonderful.
On the other hand, I would have paid someone $65, or more, to delouse the beds, furniture, etc.
