Journalist Grigory Pasko, whose treason conviction sparked international protest, will not seek a pardon from President Vladimir V. Putin.
“I am not guilty, and I will continue the struggle for . . . a full acquittal,” Pasko said from prison. But he thanked Putin for saying that he would consider a pardon appeal.
Pasko was sentenced last month to four years in prison for illegally attending a secret meeting of Pacific Fleet commanders.
