Officials released the identities Thursday of two men found dead in Santa Clarita this week.
The men, both 19-year-olds from Santa Clarita, were apparently the victims of two separate attackers, officials said.
A work crew discovered the body of Victor Flores on Tuesday morning in a creek bed off Sierra Highway. Flores had suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and a gun was found near his body, Sheriff’s Deputy Sonia Parra said.
The body of Byron Benito was found Wednesday morning on a street in the Greenbrier East Mobile Home Park, Sheriff’s Deputy William Spear said.
Benito had struggled with his attacker in a nearby parking lot before collapsing in the 25600 block of Golden Bush Way, Spear said.
The cause of Benito’s death has yet to be determined.
