Body Found Inside Shipping Container

A man’s body was found inside a burning shipping container at the rear of a Sherman Oaks house Saturday morning, authorities said.
The fire, reported shortly before 7 a.m., was confined to the inside of a 30-foot metal container where the man lived, city fire spokesman Jim Wells said.
The homeowners apparently were allowing the man to stay in the container, said Det. Rick Swanston of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The cause of death was under investigation.
