Loyola Marymount (9-10, 2-3) at Santa Clara (7-11, 2-3), 3 p.m., Fox Sports Net, KXLU-FM (88.9)--Loyola shot 34% and scored only 10 points in the final 10 minutes 54 seconds of a 73-60 West Coast Conference loss to San Diego on Thursday. Santa Clara had a nine-point halftime lead against Pepperdine, but could not hold on and lost, 74-67.
Pepperdine (12-6, 5-0) at San Diego (11-7, 3-2), 7, Fox Sports Net, KPLS (830)--The Waves have won seven in a row. Forward Boomer Brazzle, is averaging 16 points and eight rebounds in his last three games. Jason Blair had a career-high 32 points in San Diego’s victory over Loyola Marymount. Senior guard Andre Laws is the Toreros’ leading scorer.
UC Irvine (14-5, 7-1) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (10-6, 4-4), 7, KUCI-FM (88.9)--The Anteaters picked up a key victory at Santa Barbara to stay one game ahead of Northridge in the Big West and pull two games ahead of the Gauchos. Guard Jerry Green had a season-high 11 assists with four turnovers as he led a 52-point second half in the 81-70 victory. Irvine made 11 of 19 three-point baskets and shot 53.7%, the first team to shoot over 50% against Santa Barbara. Center Varnie Dennis, who averages 16.5 points, leads the Mustangs. Cal Poly is 7-1 at home.
UC Riverside (6-10, 3-5) at Cal State Northridge (7-10, 6-2), 7, KPRO (1570)-- Forward Lionel Benjamin has done the dirty work for the Matadors, grabbing 31 rebounds over the last three games, and Curtis Slaughter has become a needed scoring option. Riverside has lost three in a row.
Long Beach State (6-13, 2-6) at UC Santa Barbara (11-6, 5-3), 7 p.m., KRLA (870)--Long Beach is 0-7 on the road after losing a Big West game at San Luis Obispo, 75-63, on Thursday. Forward Rudy Williams had 15 points and 13 rebounds, but the 49ers shot only 38% and made only five of 21 three-point attempts. Santa Barbara is coming off an 81-70 loss to first-place UC Irvine.
Cal State Fullerton (4-13, 1-7) at Pacific (12-6, 4-4), 7 p.m.--Fullerton forward Pape Sow continues to shine for the short-handed Titans. Sow scored 28 points in a 92-68 Big West loss to Cal State Northridge on Thursday, a game in which the Titans had only eight players available. Forward Josh Fischer, who underwent exploratory surgery in October to examine an irregular heartbeat, has sat out the last three games because of the recurring condition. Pacific defeated UC Riverside, 71-59, on Thursday.

WOMEN
USC (10-9, 6-4) at Oregon State (11-9, 7-3), 2--The Trojans shot a paltry 33.3% in Thursday’s loss to Oregon. In the first meeting with the Beavers, USC won, 69-65.
UCLA (5-13, 2-8) at Oregon (11-8, 6-4,) 7, KACD (850), KEWS (1350)--The Bruins’ season hit rock bottom Thursday, with UCLA scoring the fewest points in school history in the 77-36 loss to Oregon State. Earlier this season the Ducks won, 76-67.
