Kidnap Gang Leader Dies in Clash With Police

The leader of a kidnap-for-ransom gang that is on the U.S. list of terrorist organizations was killed with three of his men in a clash with police in the southern Philippines, officials said.
Regional police officer Bartolome Baluyot said Tunku Abdulrakman, alias Commander Tropical, was killed in Sultan Kudarat, 590 miles south of Manila.
He headed Abu Sufia, the “kidnapping arm” of the so-called Pentagon gang.
