California Pizza Kitchen Revenue Up

California Pizza Kitchen Inc., which operates 128 company-owned restaurants, said second-quarter sales at restaurants open more than a year rose 2.3% from the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 16% to $87.9 million, the Westchester-based company said. Based on those results, California Pizza Kitchen said it was comfortable with its estimate that second-quarter earnings per share would be 21 cents to 23 cents.
The company will release complete second-quarter results July 24. Shares of California Pizza Kitchen fell 12 cents to $21.47 on Nasdaq.
