Update -- Angel Manager Mike Scioscia again has mandated that Sele will pitch no more than five innings even if he is throwing a perfect game. The strategy, designed to rebuild Sele’s stamina in his first season following shoulder surgery, worked Sunday when Sele shut out the Dodgers over five innings, throwing only 70 pitches. Mulder, who has not faced the Angels this season, has won three of his last four starts. -- Ben Bolch
