Sex Case Dismissed Against Ex-L.A. Priest

A judge dismissed charges Wednesday against a former Los Angeles County priest who was facing trial for allegedly molesting an altar boy in the mid-1980s.
Superior Court Judge David Horwitz, citing the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that voided California’s retroactive law allowing prosecution of older molestation cases, dismissed eight felony sexual assault counts against Carlos Rene Rodriguez.
