WASHINGTON — The Army is considering whether to punish soldiers in Iraq who publicly griped about conditions there, a Pentagon spokeswoman said Friday.
Some soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Division complained to reporters this week after their scheduled departures from the country were again postponed.
One soldier called for Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld’s resignation in a TV interview. The Army will determine whether any soldier will be charged with breaking rules against criticizing superior officers, the spokeswoman said.
