Female Bicyclist Killed in Busy Intersection

A bicyclist was killed Friday when she was struck by a minivan and dragged a short distance as she tried to cross a busy intersection, police said.
The Orange County coroner’s office was trying to identify the woman.
The woman was struck near Houston Avenue and Moody Street about 12:30 p.m. when the driver, Choon Sung Jun, 67, of Lakewood made a right turn on a green light. He was not arrested or cited. The investigation was continuing.
The victim was described as Asian, 50 to 60 years old, wearing a pink sweatshirt, black sweatpants and carrying a purple backpack.
