Santa Ana Boy, 4, Drowns in Pool

A 4-year-old boy drowned Thursday after falling into his family’s swimming pool in Santa Ana, authorities said.
David Escobedo was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center in Orange at 11:20 a.m., about an hour after family members found him in the pool on the 2100 block of Spinnaker.
The family called 911, but then rushed the boy to a convalescent home they had thought was an emergency room.
Paramedics arrived there and took the boy to the hospital.
