Prosecutors Try to Keep Suspect From Hearing

The government says terrorism defendant Zacarias Moussaoui must be banned from a hearing where top secret material would be introduced.
The Al Qaeda member doesn’t have a security clearance and never will, prosecutors said in a written motion to U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema.
Moussaoui contends he has the right to information that could exonerate him, and Brinkema has issued several rulings upholding his claim.
“The defendant is a sworn member of a terrorist organization at war with the United States,” prosecutors argued.
