Go to the Whip? Yes; Go to Lawsuit? No

It was sad to read about Laffit Pincay retiring this week, until reading that he’s planning on launching lawsuits because of his career-ending injury. Being a jockey carries with it many risks, and it comes with the job. Pincay knew every time he got on a horse that injury was possible, yet he persevered. If Pincay proceeds with the suits, he’ll join the ranks of other tarnished idols, such as Bill Shoemaker.
