Man Who Reportedly Attacked Wife, Self Dies

A Santa Ana man has died after attacking his wife of 40 years and then apparently slashing his throat with a kitchen knife, police said Wednesday.
Fortino H. Juarez, 67, died Tuesday at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana from injuries suffered after the May 23 attack on his 60-year-old wife, police said.
She was taken to the same hospital and treated for stab wounds to the chest and face, said Santa Ana Police Sgt. Baltazar De La Riva.
The reason for the attack, he said, is unknown.
