Christmas closures

The following schedule will be in effect on Christmas in the Inland Empire.

Riverside County

Schools: No classes will be held at UC Riverside, Riverside Community College, College of the Desert, Mt. San Jacinto College or Palo Verde College.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Public transportation : The Riverside Transit Agency, Sunline Transit Agency and most city transportation agencies will not have service. Metrolink Trains will run on a holiday schedule. For more information, call (800) 371-LINK.

Trash collection: No trash will be picked up. Collection will be one day late.

Government: City, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.

Banks: Most will be closed.

Libraries: County libraries and city facilities will be closed.

San Bernardino County

Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, Loma Linda University, Crafton Hill College, Barstow Community College, Cal State San Bernardino or the University of Redlands.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Public transportation: Omnitrans buses will be operating on their regular schedules, but the Omnitrans offices will be closed. Victorville Transit will not provide service.

Trash collection: Trash will not be picked up. Collection will be delayed by one day.

Government: County and federal offices, city offices and courts will be closed.

Banks: Most will be closed.

Libraries: County and city libraries will be closed.
