Electrical Fire Leaves Woman Without Home

A fire in a Newport Beach mobile home Monday caused $40,000 in damage and left a woman temporarily homeless, officials said.
The woman, whose name was not released, called 911 at 11:40 a.m. after an electrician noticed smoke coming from a circuit breaker at a mobile home in the De Anza Bayside Village. The malfunction was traced to a lamp.
