Earthquakes Roll to 3-1 Win

Brian Ching, Jeff Agoos and Brian Mullan scored goals to lead the San Jose Earthquakes (4-3-3) to a 3-1 win over the New York-New Jersey MetroStars (3-3-4) in front of 9,999 at San Jose on Saturday. Jeff Parke scored for the MetroStars.
In other games: Eddie Johnson and Toni Nhleko scored second-half goals to lead the Dallas Burn (4-4-2) to a 3-1 victory over the New England Revolution (2-6-3) in front of 6,941 at Dallas.... Joe Cannon made eight saves for the visiting Colorado Rapids (2-3-5), and Troy Perkins of D.C. United (3-5-4) made two saves as the teams tied, 0-0, in front of 21,742 at Washington.... Jeff Cunningham scored two goals, including a penalty kick in the second half that helped the Columbus Crew (4-3-3) salvage a 2-2 tie against the Kansas City Wizards (5-4-3) in front of 13,680 at Columbus, Ohio.
