Re “3 Firefighter Recruits Quit, 4 Suspended,” Nov. 9: When it costs the city of Los Angeles $100,000 for each person completing the fire academy and students show up under the influence of alcohol for their graduation and then resign, the city of Los Angeles should require those individuals to reimburse the city.
