Searchers continued Saturday to comb the frigid 8,831-foot Mt. Pinos for a 64-year-old Chatsworth hiker missing since Wednesday, said Cheryl Longwith, a spokeswoman for the Kern County Sheriff’s Department.
Robert Komenda failed to return from a day hike on the McGill Trail, said Longwith, adding that Komenda is an experienced hiker familiar with the area.
More than 50 people from five counties are involved in the search, scheduled to resume at 7 this morning.
