Honors pile up for Eastwood

As Hollywood’s annual awards fever begins to rise, Clint Eastwood finds himself being honored by the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America.
The Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker will get a lifetime achievement award from the Directors Guild on Jan. 28, six days after he picks up the Producers Guild’s Milestone Award. The Producers Guild also has announced special awards for filmmaker Roger Corman and TV mogul Norman Lear.
The Writers Guild of America is also making plans for its awards ceremony on Feb. 4, with special honors going to screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and TV writer Stephen J. Cannell.
