Lawyer Says Body Is That of Missing Mobster

A body believed to be that of a mobster who vanished during his corruption trial in Brooklyn was found in the trunk of a car parked behind a diner in New Jersey.
Investigators had yet to identify the victim positively as Lawrence Ricci, 60, a reputed Genovese family capo last seen Oct. 7. But Ricci’s lawyer Martin Schmukler said the body was that of his client. Schmukler won an acquittal for Ricci after the mobster’s disappearance.
