Katrina Victim No. 1,072 Found in House Searches

Emergency workers found the body of another Hurricane Katrina victim as they searched through destroyed homes, bringing the number of verified deaths in the state to 1,072. No details were provided on where the body was found.
Twelve of the 902 bodies examined at the disaster morgue in Carville have been released to families since last week, for a total release of 535, the state Department of Health and Hospitals reported.
