Fireworks Unlikely to Disturb Surviving Chick

Wildlife officials believe that the only surviving Western snowy plover chick from a nest of three on West Beach will be able to fly before this weekend’s Fourth of July fireworks, eliminating concerns that the celebration could disturb it.
