Ties to India? Get your MTV!

How niche can you get? MTV on Tuesday launched MTV Desi, a programming service aimed at “young people with ties to the Indian subcontinent but living in the United States.” It’s a pay channel available only on DirecTV satellite, featuring news, music, comedy and reality shows.
MTV said it hopes to launch similar services this year for Chinese Americans and Korean Americans.
