Bill Hemmer lands at Fox

Fox News Channel announced Tuesday that it has hired former CNN anchor Bill Hemmer as a weekday anchor and correspondent.

Hemmer worked for a decade at CNN, where he most recently co-hosted its “American Morning” program. He announced last month that he was leaving the network to pursue other opportunities.

The Cincinnati native, who will remain based in New York for his new job, will begin at Fox in late summer.
