China OKs Resignation of Acting Chief Executive

China approved Donald Tsang’s resignation as acting chief executive of Hong Kong, clearing the way for him to launch his campaign to be the territory’s leader.
The announcement has been long expected because Tsang is Beijing’s apparent favorite in the three-way July 10 race. Tsang would replace Tung Chee-hwa, who resigned in March.
